The Rockets missing Trevor Ariza and Gerald Green for game two of their suspension comes at an inopportune time, as they have the Warriors coming to town. PJ Tucker will play at least 30 minutes again while Chris Paul should see plenty of work with Harden on a minute limit.
The 76ers-Bucks game has the potential to be a slow paced game, especially given how much the Bucks figure to isolate Khris Middleton and Eric Bledsoe with so few other creators tonight. I’ll take Bledsoe over Middleton because of the respect I have for Robert Covington’s defense. And as for Embiid… John Henson and Thon Maker going to slow him down? Look for plenty of post up opportunities exploiting that mismatch that Jason Kidd likely has no answers for. TJ McConnell has been productive in increased minutes of late, and that only figures to spike more with Jerryd Bayless being out tonight as well.
I’ll take Dillon Brooks and Wayne Ellington to produce on the wing in friendly matchups that should provide opportunity. They’re also both aided by teammates being out: Dion Waiters and Tyler Johnson continue to miss time in Miami and James Ennis and potentially Andrew Harrison will for the Grizzlies tonight. Both guys have a relatively safe floor and a tempting ceiling tonight.
And last but not least, Montrezl Harrell seems to be a relatively safe play tonight despite the daunting matchup with the Jazz. Willie Reed has drawn the center starts with DeAndre Jordan out and figures to take a bulk of the matchup against the limited minute restricted Rudy Gobert. Harrell should benefit from high minutes once again and he has proven to make his minutes count. His $4,800 price tag is still entirely too low on DraftKings.
