Today looks like a fun night of NBA action. Warriors-Thunder are always fun battles in which Russell Westbrook goes off in. The other “bad blood” action of the night is the Bulls against the Timberbulls, who unfortunately will be down Jimmy Butler. Andrew Wiggins and Nemanja Bjelica have been money without Butler so far this season: their roles expand greatly without him. And on the other side of this matchup, Zach Lavine got 26 shots off and scored 36 real points in the first matchup against his old team. And finally David Nwaba showed out in his first start the other night and will be tonight’s chalk value for good reason.
Two Knicks closed out this lineup originally. Jarrett Jack getting squeezed out of the rotation opened up minutes for Emmanuel Mudiay and Trey Burke against the Magic, a trend that should continue. Burke has been productive on a per-minute basis for the Knicks thus far this season and while I’m not anticipating another 26-4-6 game for Burke, 25 DraftKings points is entirely feasible with his usage at point guard in his new role. And as far as the Knicks big man, his usage has been up without Kristaps Porzingis and he’s been good against the Celtics thus far this season. Boston may be missing their best defensive big man in Aron Baynes (and if they do, Daniel Theis for Trey Burke is appealing); Kanter would benefit if Baynes sat as well.
I ended up switching out Portis and Burke in favor of Len and Harrison. Harrison busted for us last night but really is in a great spot without Tyreke Evans and Wayne Selden tonight. And Len is the lone true center remaining on the Suns tonight and is a solid bet with the minute load he should get.
