Kristaps Porzingis and Kyle O’Quinn will both sit out today against the Warriors. Both of their minutes will be soaked up by Michael Beasley, Enes Kanter, Willy Hernangomez, and Lance Thomas/Doug McDermott to some degree.
Michael Beasley has been the guy to target when the big Latvian has sat thus far this season, though he will surely he tested today with the defensive matchup against Draymond Green. Green’s defense may cause me to mostly fade Beasley despite the obvious play scenario.
Tim Hardaway Jr, Enes Kanter, and Jarrett Jack will also be called on for more offense. They don’t have as harsh of matchups as Beasley do and make for strong options. Hardaway Jr is going to be my main target as the result of this news.
This game also has blowout potential, given that it’s the Warriors playing short handed Knicks. That makes me less likely to grab a Warrior in main action- only one or two can really “go off” tonight or else the fourth quarter may be inconsequential. It’s a concern that will come with playing Hardaway too.
It’s likely that we will see the possibility of a Willy Hernangomez punt play. His cost is all the way down and he should play upwards of 20 minutes tonight, more in a blowout.
